# DF8201: Terminal Session Not Registered

> Terminal session with id "\{id}" not registered

## Message

> Terminal session with id "`{id}`" not registered

## Cause

`ctx.terminals.update(patch)` was called with an `id` for which no session has been registered.

## Fix

- Use `ctx.terminals.register(session)` to add new sessions.
- Verify the id matches an existing session; a common cause is updating after `remove()`.
